I went to see Dr. Wilson (my Ob-Gyn) again today for a routine check up. I also had my blood drawn for my glucose tolerance test. This is the test that confirms or rules out gestational diabetes. A routine test for all expectant mom's entering their third trimester. The drink that's required for the test preparation is pretty nasty and made me super jittery. I don't think I've been on that much of a sugar high since I was a kid! I hope to hear about the results sometime next week.
I had a little heart to heart with Dr. Wilson about the size of my belly. Lately I have been feeling like my belly is absolutely HUGE! He measured my tummy and looked at my weight and replied, with "You are absolutely perfect!" Just the 4 words any pregnant woman (or any woman for that matter) wants to hear. He said I'm right on tract for being 28 weeks pregnant. I love Dr. Wilson, he always calms my nerves and I trust his clinical judgement.
