This afternoon I had my 3D Ultrasound. I have been looking forward to this day for months! My Mom, Dad, Aunt Ginny, Matt's Grandma Dale, and Matt were all there to watch. It was incredible! Our baby looked like a REAL BABY! I don't know how else to say it. At my 12 week ultrasound the tech flipped the US into 3D for just a second and he looked more like an alien than a baby. This time it was totally different. One of the first things the ultrasound tech said to me was, "Wow, this is a big baby, He doesn't have a lot of room to move around in there!" NO KIDDING! Was my initial thought, and I think I may have even said it out loud. My little man was not super cooperative today unfortunately he likes to have his arms up by his face and his legs crossed. We asked the ultrasound tech to confirm the baby's gender (you know, since we just finished painting the nursery brown and blue). She tried super hard to get a good look at his "goods" but he just wasn't going to budge. I stood up, flipped from side to side, stretched, poked at my belly, and bent over to touch my toes (yes I can still do that!) to try to get him to change positions but he really just doesn't have much room to move around. Overall it was so much fun to get to see what he looked like and watch his facial expressions! Here are a few of the pictures. Enjoy!
So sweet and peaceful.
Sleeping agin...(The line on his cheek is his umbilical cord blending into his face, not a funky cheek bone)
I love his pouty lips
Sleeping like a good baby
This one is one of my favorites, the tech started poking my belly to get him to move and he got mad...... Don't mess with us while we are sleeping (Matt says sometimes I make this face when he tries to wake me up too)
