Where does the time go... Hudson is already 3 weeks old!

I really don't know where the time goes these days! My days are full of feeding, diapering, and of course snuggling my little one.  It seems like all he wants to do these days is eat, eat, eat. This is a good thing since he had some weight to gain. We went to the doctor yesterday for a weight check, he was up to 7 pounds and 14 ounces! The doctor was pleased, now we don't have to go back for a check until he's 2 months old. Yesterday was a busy day for us, that's why this blog entry is a day late. We had the doctor in the morning then we had to drop Dasher off at the groomer... that was super fun to manage an excited dog and a 3 week old in a pet store (note to self... don't try this again until Hudson is much older,  or the dog is better behaved). Then we went to Target, Hudson screamed through our entire shopping trip and all the way home but we made it, and once he got some food in his belly all was well. We have noticed a trend in his mood in the last few weeks, he is usually very happy during the day and in the evening time he gets a little cranky. He doesn't like to go to bed earlier than midnight, but then sleeps for quite a while (3-5 hours on average).  We have tried different formula, even though he only gets 1 or 2 feedings of formula a day we thought maybe it was irritating his tummy, it didn't seem to help. Even on the days he gets breast milk exclusively, he is cranky in the evening. We give him Mylicon every night, which seems to help a little. We will get to the bottom of this, it's just going to take some time. Overall, you're still a pretty happy baby. We sure do love you baby Hudson, you're the best gift we have ever been given.

Here are a few things from week three that I never want to forget!

~ How sometimes you seem to "attack your pacifier", you get so excited about it you shake your head back and forth and cant get it in your mouth fast enough... just so you can spit it out.
~How you don't care that I only know the chorus to the song "You Are My Sunshine".
~How you get bed head!
~How you army crawl up my chest when I'm trying to get you to go to sleep.
~How you toot while I'm feeding you and it doesn't even phase you.
~How you LOVE having your hair washed, just like your mommy!
~How you laugh in your sleep.
~The look on your face after you sneeze.

Our photographer sent us another sneak peak at your newborn pictures the other day, hopefully we will get the full album in a week or two. I love this picture, you really are the most beautiful baby I have ever seen.

Here is another one from today, I think you are so cute in your little polo!
