4 Months Today

Hudson:

  Today you are four whole months old. As I write this post you are sleeping on my lap, because this is the only way you would sleep today.  You're a tough cookie when it comes to naps. We have been trying without success to get you on a nap schedule since month two.  Over the past month your little personality has really started to shine. We finally heard your adorable laugh, you are smiling all of the time, and you have started to shriek. You have the cutest voice and sometimes you just talk to hear your own voice.  You have turned our lives up side down and inside out and have turned our living room into a full on Toys R Us. We have gotten through your first minor illness, thank goodness. You can not get enough of your bouncy chair and exersaucer, which makes my life so much easier. I can actually make dinner now with two hands. Speaking of two hands, you can not get enough of yours! They are in your mouth constantly, sometimes you even try to suck your thumb or chew on your fingers when you are nursing or taking a bottle. You love to be on the go, its funny but I think you get cabin fever just like me after being stuck in the house for long periods of time. Your Dad and I have so much fun playing with you. Some of my favorite times with you are in the morning after I feed you for the first time. We lay in bed and snuggle and play for at least a few minutes, sometimes for much longer if I don't have to go to work. You are such a morning baby.  Being your mommy makes me so happy, when life gets challenging I think about you and your smile and everything seems right with the world. I know I can get through anything with you in my thoughts. I thank God for you every night.
