Well, it was not easy for me but for the first time since Hudson has been born I went to work without my breast pump today. I was never a huge producer of breast milk but it was Hudson's primary means of nourishment for the first 5-6 months of life. I have always needed to supplement with formula but lately I have hardly produced even enough for even one meal. I will continue to nurse Hudson at night and sometimes in the early morning hours. After weeks of only producing a couple ounces while pumping at work, I have decided it is time to leave the pump at home. He has been eating and enjoying baby food which makes this transition a little easier for me. Breast feeding was difficult from the start for me and I am proud of myself for hanging in as long as I did. Only moms who have had the privilege to breast feed understand the bonding that takes place during meal time.
