We almost made it

Hudson has an ear infection. It makes me so sad. We almost made it one whole year without antibiotics. I knew something was going on when he started having goopy yucky snot on Saturday afternoon. He never got a fever and was pretty much a happy kiddo until this afternoon.  This afternoon he fell asleep on me, which never ever happens. When he woke up he was just as cranky as cranky could be. Of course at this point it was 4:45 and the Dr.'s office was closing in 15 minutes. So, I decided to take him to the after hours clinic. By 6:00 (when the clinic opened) he was my normal happy boy again because I had given him Motrin an hour and a half ago. Anyway, I was that mom in the "urgent care" with a happy healthy looking kid. Most of the other kids looked horrible, I felt bad going in before the other sick kids, but I did plan to get to the office at 5:45 so I could be the first in line so I wouldn't have to wait. I was a little disappointed when I rolled up and saw that I was not the only mom with this idea. It all worked out, I was 4th in line and we only waited about 25 minutes. When I got to the pharmacy on the way home from my house they seriously told me to go somewhere else because they were so busy, I wouldn't be getting my antibiotic anytime in the near future. So, I just took it to another pharmacy and Matt picked it up on his way home, 45 minutes later.  I sure hope he gets better soon.
