Wowza, I can't believe Christmas has past. This year has flown by! Sometimes I feel like having a toddler makes your life go in fast forward. It's hard to remember to sit and enjoy, life gets so busy with all of the activities and tasks, sometimes I forget to take in the moment. So..... I guess I just made my New Year's Resolution. In 2012 I will make a conscious effort to sit and enjoy moments with my friends, family, and heck even with people who I don't know. I will take a few moments and erase my to do list in my head and I will stop anticipating everyone's next move to facilitate the schedule of the day.
Before we move too far into 2012, lets talk about Christmas 2011. First of all, Christmas with a toddler is better than I could have ever imagined. Watching Hudson's eye's light up with each present is a gift in itself. I found myself watching Matt and my parent's eyes light up as well while they watched our little guy rip open present after present. Kids bring so much joy and happiness into this world. I am so blessed with this sweet little guy.
This year Christmas was a little different, The Miner's (Martha and Tom) went to Artesia, NM to spend Christmas with Matt's sister Carla, our nephew Dylan and Carla's boyfriend and his family. Carolyn and Elliot ran off to Hawaii on a Honeymoon. So, We spent Christmas with Grandma Dale, my Mom and Dad, Leah and Maya. Christmas eve was at my parent's house as usual, but we decided to have Christmas morning at our house this year. With Hudson and all of his toys, it was much easier this way. We had such a delightful day. After everyone was gone after the crazy morning madness of presents and eating we did something that we never... ever do.... we ALL took a nap. Yep, even me. After we put Hudson down for a nap Matt and I curled up on the couch and dozed for a few hours. We woke up just in time to go to my parent's house for Christmas dinner. What a perfect day.

(ps he may kill me for posting this pic of him in PJ's)
I wish I had a video of H going through his stocking, he kept pulling one thing out after another saying "That's Cool"..."That's Cool..." over and over. It was so funny.
The Choo Choo Ride
Best. Gift. Ever. Thanks Nana and Papa!
