Dresser

I had this old IKEA dresser in Hudson's closet. It was ugly, and we really just used it as a place to put his shoes and hats. I had the idea to change it up a bit. How hard could it be to spray paint a dresser and put new hardware on it... right? Well, spray painting crappy IKEA particle board is not exactly easy.

Here's what I started with.... boring!

Tape... It's part of every paint job

Naked Dresser

Sand the heck out of it

First coat of paint

It needed about 3 coats

Because I didn't sand it well enough...
Note: Sand more than you think you need to, it will save you a LOT of time and another trip to Hobby Lobby for more spray paint.

Oops a little paint got under the tape

No worries, a little nail polish removal will take care of that problem.

Red scrapbook paper for the front of the drawers

It took 4 of these puppies!

I'm in LOVE with the knobs!

Seriously so cute!

Kick the kiddo out of the project

Ta Da!
I have no idea why the red looks so pink in this picture.
