This Christmas our family had so much to be thankful for. To start, my mom was released from the hospital 2 days before Christmas which was such a blessing. There was nothing more she could ask for than to be home and enjoy Christmas with her family. So many prayers were answered and we were able to enjoy Christmas morning at mom and dad's house just like we always have.
Another blessing this holiday season is of course our baby. I cant even describe how thankful I am to have had such an uneventful pregnancy. So far everything has just fallen into place. Yes, the first 3 months were pretty darn rough with fatigue and nausea, but nothing unexpected. All of the tests and ultrasounds have come back completely normal and as far as we know we have a healthy baby boy growing in my belly. I am feeling him move and kick every day now. It makes me smile every time I feel a movement because it gives me reassurance that he's okay.
I am also ever so thankful for our jobs. This is the first year that Matt will not have to work Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years! Although Matt is unable to fly he has found himself a great job, with NORMAL HOURS! Which is our dream come true. He is home every night and even on the holidays. This change in careers has allowed us to feel comfortable starting a family. Although I cant foresee any "normal" hours for me in the future, I am working towards a more normal schedule, I'm off of night shift and now working 1pm-11:30pm.
Overall, this year has been the most eventful year for us so far, many blessings and a few worries, just to keep us all on our toes and counting those blessings. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a
Happy New Year.
